Experience the Thrill: EthStorage's Public Testnet Launch Event

On March 13, 2024, Ethereum completed the Dencun upgrade, with the core objective of enhancing scalability by implementing Proto-Danksharding (EIP-4844).

Right after the Dencun Upgrade, EthStorage, a modular and decentralized storage layer 2, is excited to announce its first public testnet, integrated with EIP-4844, is live! 

To celebrate this significant milestone, we will launch two campaigns.

EthStorage x Galxe | March 15th to March 31st

To celebrate the successful launch of EthStorage's first public testnet and to encourage more users to participate, EthStorage will debut its testnet campaign on the Web3 task platform, Galxe. This marks our first endeavor on Galxe. From March 15th, 00:00 (UTC), to March 31st, 23:59 (UTC), participants can earn points by completing designated tasks on Galxe. Through this campaign, we aim to attract more users to experience EthStorage's inaugural public testnet while rewarding them generously.

BLOB Storage Race | March 21st to April 17th

We are excited to introduce the BLOB storage race, the first point-based public testnet campaign by EthStorage! This event marks the debut of EthStorage's first public testnet, representing the culmination of nearly two years of development in both EthStorage and web3:// URL. 

The campaign kicks off on March 21st and will continue for 4 weeks. Participants will need to configure their machines, sync over two million BLOBs from peers in the EthStorage layer 2 network on the Ethereum Sepolia testnet, and aim to submit as many storage proofs as possible to the storage contract.

How to Participate:

  • People interested in participating should fill out a simple application form. You'll need to provide your Twitter handle and a link to a tweet that includes your wallet address (preferred a new address), which will be used as the miner address in the EthStorage node configuration.
  • We suggest using the following tweet: “I am applying to participate in the EthStorage public testnet, and my miner address is <your wallet address>. @EthStorage.” Please be aware of privacy and security considerations when sharing your wallet address publicly.
  • The team will review all submissions and directly message (DM) you if you are selected for the campaign.
  • As a participant, your objective is to submit as many storage proofs as possible. Submitting at least two storage proofs will earn you over 5,000 points, with additional proofs bringing you more points.
