EthStorage Receives Grant from Optimism for Offering A Complete Long-term DA Solution for OP Stack
On May 9th, 2024, Optimism (OP) announced Cycle 22’s final grants of its Season 5. We are delighted to share that EthStorage's proposal, Extend the Availability of EIP-4844 Blobs by Integrating OP Stack with EthStorage, has been awarded a grant, advancing EthStorage in its pioneering endeavors within the OP ecosystem. It’s another milestone after we announced 2 Grants from Optimism for our ZK Fault Proof and multi-section Fault Proof research proposals. EthStorage’s Proposal
Extend the Availability of EIP-4844 Blobs by Integrating OP Stack with EthStorage: The proposal aims to offer a complete long-term data availability (DA) solution for OP Stack EIP-4844 (Ecotone) upgrade by integrating with EthStorage.
EthStorage has been deployed on Ethereum DenCun testnet and integrated EIP-4844. Additionally, it has extensively investigated the OP stack’s EIP-4844 integration, a.k.a, Ecotone upgrade. EthStorage also has deployed an OP Stack’s Ecotone instance on Sepolia.
Leveraging EthStorage’s long-term data storage solution, OP Stack Rollups can better derive Ethereum security even after the BLOBs are pruned after 18 days as specified by EIP-4844.
About OP Grant
Optimism Collective offers grant support for builders within the OP ecosystem. These grants come in two primary forms: Collective grants, provided upfront for forthcoming projects, and Retro Funding, allocated to completed projects based on their impact. Season 5 experienced an astonishing 73.2% growth. A total of 530 Mission Request applications were received, of which only 87 were selected.
